The Importance of Love in Politics
This reminds me of these kind of political dinners, and everybody's there to kind of be seen and be seen. And Jesus is warning about that. They're going to pay you back. Is that why you're doing this for them in the first place? Flip it around, and this is what he's asking for. But when thou makeest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. He could have said, the kind of people that I surround myself with. Call the people that can't do anything in return. Instead, thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. Then God will reward me with his riches on high.
