How to Be a Better Manager
I don't like to override the engineering manager, I don't make commitments on their behalf. Unless you come to skip level with me, you ask me my opinion. The only other time I work directly with ICs is when I'm entering. And I never mentor anybody in my organization because they already have me. But sometimes people think they actually have questions for me. So in those cases, I will share, but I don't Like to ever get in front.
