Barefoot running can also build fantastic strength in the feet and lower legs. The more you roll your ankles, the stiffer they're going to get. We need a strong community at home to support these requests of leaving for half a day on a weekend. And I think if we are faster and more resilient, we're probably going to enjoy ourselves a bit more too.
