What's So Amazing About the Moon?

The moon's temperature ranges from 100 degrees C during the lunar day to minus 173 degrees C in the lunar night. The earth has an atmosphere but it's only about 300 miles thick and most of our atmospheres within 10 miles of the surface. Without our blanket as average surface temperature will be near minus 80 instead of the much warmer 50 degrees C which makes actually the abundance of life on this planet possible.
