The Debate About Fallout Shelters

In the early 1960s, there was a lot of debate going on about fallout shelters. One magazine published an article called Gundyne Neighbor in which they interviewed a guy who said that if any of his neighbors tried to get into his fallout shelter during a nuclear attack, he would kill them. All across America, people are preparing going to staggering lands to protect their families from their greatest fears. But once again, this creates a huge debate with many people saying that the needs of the schools and the need to shelter people during anuclear attack were not compatible.
