Critical Race Theory

Philip Mott: Critical race theory is derivative of a Marxian way of thinking. He says the discipline's co-founders used terms like intersectionality to describe discrimination against blacks, women and other groups. The term was coined by Kimberly Crenshaw in the late 80s or early 90s; she still teaches at MIT. "I'd argue that this is a concept that we have intuited basically since time immemorial," he says.
