Thomas Kills Mary and Throws Her Body Into the Cellar

A large amount of blood in a common area in the house where the kids can go, now they become important witnesses. The boys don't have a lot of good information to offer. They just said we haven't seen our mom for a few days. And that opens up the door for Thomas having killed Mary and then throwing her body down the shoot into the cellar.
