What Are the Side Effects of Local Anesthetics?
Clifford: The major current goal now is how can we focus in on those features that are unique to the pain system so that will not have side effects for example local anesthetics are sodium channel blockers they are non-selective and block every sodium channel. Rachel says despite her taking several medications already none of the treatments she has tried have made much of a difference. She's kind of existing with it now rather than living because there isn't where else to go no yeah I guess there isn't really anywhere else to go but this is my new normal I have to now work on myself to make me accept that and hope that other people can as well Clifford's journey continues next week
