Getting Humans Addicted to Technology Is a Feedback Loop
We're so quick to blame the addiction caused by social media, but in actual fact, it's only addictive because we're giving it the feedback that it wants to see and then optimizes to be addictive. We need to understand this as a dynamic ecosystem with a lot of feedback loops. Getting humans addicted to them is what results in that propagation. It's a completely Darwinian process. The creatures that thrive in an ecosystem are the ones that have the procreative prowess that are able to spread themselves.getting humans to be addicted to technology is a fantastically powerful way to spread yourself.
