Vm War E S X I Server - Should I Go Enterprise or Consumer?

Mark writes, just looking at building a v m war e s x i server to learn v m ware and have an enterprise test land. After doing some research, it seems the best way to go about this is an old enterprise server. Mark asks if he should go with three point five inch drives like w d red or regular contumer grade sater nasdrives such as rade one.
