What's Gotten Worse About the Internet?

i think a lot of what we don't like about the internet now is merely a reflection of human nature and us, not necessarily the internet itself. i am legitimately worred about that. It's awful, awful hard to run a company in a society that's falling apart. The side effect of the profit motive might be that the best way to do that is to have people be unhappy a and lonely and angry. But it if they were trying to get people to stay on the web side for longer, that did seem to be the thing that was doing it. Maybe facebook is paying some price for that now.
