I think that's my main issue with trigger warnings is they preempt conversation. So when they are making a value judgment on how harmful something can be, that already leads the room into a hierarchical system of one side feeling like they probably have to walk on eggshells. It's sort of framing the debate before the debate's even been had. And Elise, do you think that the things that these warnings get applied to and refer to are just becoming too big now? You can't have a trigger warning about sexism or racism or the fact that inequality exists in the world because that is just the world. That's not something you can warn people about. I mean, it's not necessarily something
