The Crusaders of the Ottoman Empire

On the death of Orhan in 1362, there was a civil war between his three surviving sons. Murad had his two brothers executed and emerged victorious. Despite losing Gallipoli, Murad proved himself to be energetic, ruthless and capable. He took the important city of Adrianaople, northwest of Constantinople in Europe. This left Beazid as the sole surviving heir and Ottoman Sultan.
