Does Nephi Carry Some of These Biases?
I think he sees some kinship with the north. Lehi is a descendant of manassa, and his tribe was from up north. What happens is, when the northern kingdom is destroyed, you get a whole bunch of refugees from down there swarm down to the southern kingdom. So it's longer a ten tribes, two tribes sort of a thing. There's people from every tribe living in the south now. A jew at this point is a citizen of judah, not from the tribe of judah. It's got everybody. So these people are family, for one and the other thing is nephi. He talks a lot about remnants, these small groups of israelites
