The Importance of Art in Public Spaces

The one that really hooked me is one called islands from 1987 and this is you've probably seen images of this these are on the criterion channel by the way but i also got a dvd box set of them. It's there's these islands off the coast of miami uh and they're manmade but christos i and john cladd's idea was to put a giant swath of pink fabric around each of these islands. They do end up using like 6.5 million square feet or six and a half of this pink floating fabric right but it's this beautiful thing so christos idea for islands and just for his process in general.
