How Nutrition Can Affect Tendon Healing

Andrew Hall is a sports dietitian for the Brisbane Broncos. He has also worked with the Bullets basketball team. His interest in tendon healing comes from his own frustration at it. The strongest evidence is around what we can do before doing the rehab. collagen priming, which basically means that a gelatin or a collagen supplement is consumed about an hour before the rehab exercise. They've shown that the tendon is more likely to absorb those nutrients and that might help with the rate of which that tendon heals.
