Zero Configuration Multicast DNS in an IoT Environment
If you don't have a router, what if you want machines in an IoT environment to talk to each other immediately? That's where something called multi DNS multicast DNS comes into the time. If they support multicast DNS, which is a can mini DNS server in each one of them, they can find each other hostname by broadcasting the message. Hey, just joined the letter who's there? Who's out there? It's like, okay, here's me. And here's by the way, my IP address. Here's me and here's my IP address."
