Drey Peridol

Drey Peridol is an anti-psychotic, which works as an antagonist at dopamine receptors in the brain. It was withdrawn from use a couple of decades ago because it seemed to be an association with QTC prolongation. Recent studies have shown that this concern has been duplicated. For those patients who are acutely agitated with a high SAT score, it now appears to be safe to give five to 10 milligrams IAM of Drey peridol or to use Kettaman for rapid tranquilization.
