The Uniqueness of Goldman Sachs in Commercial Real Estate
Goldman Sachs is trying to focus on its investment bank and wealth management business. Goldman has about $28 billion in loans in the commercial real estate space, which makes up 15% of their total loan portfolio. They've taken hits on equity investments and also on what they call their consolidated investments that contributed to a billion dollar hit this quarter.
