Hellenism - The Greeks Made One Significant Shift

Greeks believed that this new world was going to change everything. And it's a world that we ended up calling hellenism. For the first time in human history, in a system of thought and a world view, they hadn't gotten rid of the gods. That would be silly. They just bumped the gods out of the centre of the story. The greeks made their world view all about me.
