Secret Service agent Don Long and John Campbell opened up a fraud investigation. They subpoenaed Columbia University, but the university refused to hand over any records. The Secret Service eventually relented; they found admissions essays for one Brooke Henson. She claimed that in her spare time, she found solace by playing chess online.
