The Chicago Mayor's Race, Public Safety, and Wisconsin's Not Far From Us

Public safety is issue number one, two and three in that mayor's race as well. It'll be interesting to see what happens when the two finalists are chosen. The guy who's almost certainly going to make the runoff is the candidate of the fraternal odor of police Paul Vales. He will be tagged in a general, I'm sure, as a defender. But you could have a real ideological gulf and you could have an election between FOP, CTU, teachers union candidates.
