Sleep Restriction Therapy

Some studies have shown that it is the sleep restriction therapy component of CBTI that can be one of if not the most effective components of CBTI. Sleep restriction therapy involves a very religious limiting of the amount of time that you are allowed to be in bed each and every night. Of the eight hours of time that I'm in bed, I'll spend three of those hours awake. It means that I have a very low, very poor sleep efficiency.
