How to Lovely Hear Someone Say Something Wrong
If you hear somebody say something wrong, that doesn't necessarily make them a heretic. It could be that they're just wrong. Or you might be mishearing them, misinterpreting them. We really need to check our own hearts and our own motives for why we're trying to have those kind of conversations. Not all readings are equally valid. And so there does come a point where we don't want to so emphasize charity and grace that we say, well, really, whatever goes.
