Is It Possible to Awaken a Cosmic Object?

The idea of needing to be very careful and specific with your commands is inessential part of this magic system. For example, a jacket would be easier to awaken and take less breaths than just a piece of cloth. I think that is because what's happening on the big pictureof the cosmer is that the awakener is connecting the object to their spiritual dione. And so the closer the object is to the form of a human being, the easier it is.
