The Economics of Slavery

The 13th Amendment of the United States Constitution outlaws slavery. We allow some people to own, buy and sell other people. The slaves are property like a cow or a horse or a piece of furniture. Marx gave a name to that extra produced by the slaves that they don't get back for their own consumption.
