The owner of building 7, Larry Silverstein, made a big mistake. He was caught with his pants down here," says Peter Bergen. The official story is that the towers fell because the weight of the falling debris above was pancaking and collapsing the building below. It takes weeks to put the charges in the right places within a building the size of building 7 for the building to be made to fall on its own footprint - which is exactly what it did.
