The republican party had a lot of chances to reform it fand become something serious and a it essentially refused every one of them, aside from a few isolated cases where, you know, maybe bob lightheiser anded being in the right place at the right timeah. There's no question that i think the the right has been a tremendous disappointment. We have this incredible polarization on the culture wars which prevents any potential realignment or new alliance forming. And what you're seeing is that the interesting people on the right are not really able to raise enough money from either the republican donors or the corporate sector to drive the party.
