Out of Time was a success in the UK. It did also make the top 40 in the US for a week, but then it hit a snag. Olam's new business manager Alan Klein had been asked to work his magic on the US chart. The people he bribed to hype the record into the chart had got the release date wrong and done it too early. When the record did come out over there, no radio station would play it in case it looked like they were complicit in the scam. But still a UK number one wasn't too shabby - so immediate records was back on track.
