Hemophelia a and b are exlinked recessive disorders. X linked recessive just means that the genes that in code for these two proteins, factor eight and factor nine, are found on the x chromosome. About 50 % of the population only has one copy of that x chromo om,. So they are more susceptible to this disease, more likely to get it. If you have even just one normal gean that makes a little bit of factorate, then you're not going to have symptoms of hemophelia. There's a lot of different ways this protein can be mutated.
