The Role of Moral Theory in Non-Human Suffering

In the Anthropocene, it will never be fully clear to us which forms of non-human suffering are at least partly a result of human activity. For that reason, we might need to err on the side of caution and assume at least some weak responsibility for everything that happens to non-human animals. But our responsibilities are actually pretty expansive because we have up until this point just fundamentally changed the planet and everyone in it.
