The Role of Authority in Conflicts
In childhood, we perceive anybody who has power over us as being an authority. That doesn't necessarily mean that the person actually is an authority over us. We take these roles that we've learned in childhood as part of the dynamic that we grew up in and we continue on with these even in adulthood. And those roles have very specific job functions within them. So when we feel this unease in these conversations, it actually can be about this fatigue we have - gosh, here we go again.
