The Myth of Father Christmas
I think this film does a really good job of kind of sort of nailing that point that coming of age moment right where Thomas is 9 10 he's clearly very very intelligent he sort of still does believe it Father Christmas but he has his suspicions. He wants to find out if there is evidence that Father Christmas does actually exist and I think it really nails that kind of that childhood innocence into a kind of cynicism in the movie. say sleep sleep I'd rather be asleep if he's gonna come in the house let me be asleep leave the presents and piss off yeah.
