April 16th was the morning the boat started listing. At 10.52, reporters went out to the scene and still nothing was being done. Earlier that day, civilian fishermen were trying to break windows to save people,. But now that part of the ferry is sunken, they can't try to rescue people by diving. They can't do anything. A reporter asked a parent who saw the ferry sinking and said, and what are the Coast Guard doing right now? And he says, as of right now, there is nothing they're doing. He falls to the ground sobbing.
