Controlled Experiment for the First Time Since the Boom of Aviation
Air space was closed to commercial air traffic for 72 hours after 9/11. Scientists were able to do a controlled experiment for the first time since aviation boom. They found that with no planes in the sky, and therefore lower cloud coverage, nights were cooler and days were warmer. Air travel is only two % of all the c o two we emit world wide, but it takes a 12% chunk of the c o 2 emitted by transport.
