CHAPTER

Shankara and Gaudapada

Shankara is credited with founding four major centers of Hindu worship, taking a leaf from Buddhist monastic practices. Shankara was being heavily criticized by other Vedantans including another major commentator on the Vedanta-Sutra named Bhaskara.
