The Distinction Between Social Construction and Hacking
Hacking is a social construction. A childhood watchers television is not. That's the distinction that hacking makes. You could have the same data and different scientists, even at the ideal limit of inquiry, some of them might call it quarks or something else. So in that way, sort of different conceptual schemes. And those conceptual schemes have different implications and different implicit or explicit value judgments.
