I was a weird young person that listened to public radio and I feel very grateful for that. Before podcasting, it is hard to remember how little effort towards originality was put into American radio broadcasting. It's like a high school quarterback who's a sophomore in junior college going back to his high school to wear his letter jacket. You're not insular and you welcome the guests who aren't in on the joke or the new listeners. How long did it take to get to that voice or word that you shoot out from the get go with that voice?
