After being called to an exploding pavement, she thought it was a hoax. Her partner Mike had been lying down with his head in the pit looking around. But as he got up to put the lid back on that it blew up and caught our collie clean in the face. She says: "Even though he was okay, after that, I'd kind of relive it" After working full-time for 13 years, she did a seven year part time PhD at Cardiff University. Now runs her own research lab where she studies how people make bad decisions.
