During world war one, the fed system, which was new, they divided all the banks in the country into this three tigered system. He says the chief source of war time inflation finance in the united states was the man made enlargement of the credit base. The feds didn't get into buying government bonds until afr the war. All this inflation happened, like i said, in every single belligerent country once hostilities ended.
