If you're going to build your own, yes. If you're me and you're just wanting to install cool stuff, there's lots more options. It will give you that because the extensions that are out there are quite broad. So if somebody knows that this is not required to write code, I would be all ears,. But from what I've seen, that's what it requires. Maybe that's just me being an Alfred diehard fan. That's very possible.
