I recognize their experiment in terms of that larger cultural influence really got snuffed out at the start because it didn't matter if they had a PhD from Boston University or Harvard or Yale. They still weren't of the of the class that was going to be welcome into the conversation even in the 1950s. And I do think that for Henry, as much as Henry, for instance, Carl Henry, wanted to be able to speak to that larger society, his more pressing concern was a loss of theological integrity within the evangelical camp. That's where most of his energies went, not all of them. But let's make sure that we're doing doing our part.
