Gramsci's the Subaltern of the Under Others
I'm more invested in a continually renovated left emancipatory analysis that I am in it being called Gramscien. One of the uselessness of the subaltern of the under others is to break up our own reified notions of who counts as workers, who counts as these different jobs. The first step he says in looking at any social movement is to figure out who are the composition of the people who make up this thing and not to assume in advance that you know that composition.
