The Genome of Sea Turtles

Lisa, tell us about how you sequenced the genomes of the two species of turtle for your subsequent analysis. We used a combination of sequencing technologies on samples that we collected. Not only did we want to just build these reference genomes, the others could use in the future, but we wanted to actually dig into this a little bit and find out what was going on within them.
