Moody's Global Banks Outlook for 2023
Moody's has just published the global banks outlook for 2023. The macroeconomic forecast as you mentioned are pretty gloomy. We expect inflation to remain high and interest rates will continue to challenge that servicing capacity of banks borrowers. But nevertheless our outlook for banks globally is stable because we take into account several mitigating factors. Underwriting standards have also tightened in the last decade which means that loans are now more concentrated on strong borrowers.
