The Basic Atom of Hydrogen
A hydrogen atom is basically just one electron orbiting around one proton, right? And that's exactly right. It was hot enough to fuse that hydrogen together into helium. But not a whole lot. Things cooled off very rapidly. Because the next element, lithium, is very unstable, it doesn't stick around for very long. The universe couldn't build up even further during the big bank.
