Is Projection a Defensive Mechanism?
i'm curious about how the psychological notion of jection fits into either the shadow work or your larger framework, because we hear a lot lately about projection in individuals and in political discourse. And i'm wondering how the notion of projection might fit in, or not fit in to what you're describing. But fits very nicely. Projection is a defence mechanism, a protective mechanism, that is usually, pretty much, by definition, unconscious. It's one that we all really have at some point in our lives, and it continues to be part of that bigger tool kit that we have.
