Matt Welch: What's causing such a tight labor market where unemployment is so low? Welch: I think there are a couple key factors that go into it. He says high inflation environment has increased sales for a lot of companies, bulked up their profits. Welch: We spent hundreds of billions of dollars on our pandemic response to keep companies afloat during the pandemic.
