The Book of Mormon and the Second Coming
In Joseph Smith Matthew, which is the JSD of Matthew 24, we're back at the Mount of Olives. He's sharing concern number two about the latter days. Verse 23: I speak these things unto you for the elect's sake and you also shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. Ezra Taft Benson suggested that the pattern of Christ's first coming in the book of Mormon is a pattern of his second coming to the world.
