The Importance of Cerde in a Software Environment
Wicked is using it, and the Wicked to Bugger is using it. There were some abstracting of shared code so that we would play things the same way we do an actual Wicked. That's not true for every like, implementation of every format in Cerde, but it works pretty well. The interface layer between those two things is just serialized events. And it's automatically serialized.
Andrew Stone of Oxide Engineering joined Bryan, Adam, and the Oxide Friends to talk about his purpose-built, replay debugger for the Oxide setup textual UI. Andrew borrowed a technique from his extensive work with distributed systems to built a UI that was well-structured... and highly amenable to debuggability. He built a custom debugger "in a weekend"!
